I use lapels as an implicit tool to control interviews. I wear a unit crest from my Army days which inevitably becomes a conversation piece about my Service. Also it's an all black and silver crest so it goes well with my Navy Suit and just about any tie I have

Easy to fold looks great
It's without a doubt my preferred fold. Which fold do you favor?
My suit lapels have a pair of braided cotton loops at the back, just below the buttonhole, to secure a pin or boutonniere. Rather than rely on tape, just sew a few turns of coarse cotton through the back of your lapels so you always have an anchor.
That is solid wisdom. I might need to record a video about that.
